I'm too scared to update after the last go around. What if this one is designed to target and crash all the Vista computers they missed with the last one?
I'm installing the updates now.
If I don't make it back, tell the world my story embrace.gif

had none this time thank god last time i had to redo computer
I had 3 listed, 2 check marked. The Vista Platform Update was the one not check marked. Why would they list it as important, then not have it check marked for download and install?
That is a good question. I installed all 3 with no issues though.
hi11.gif my gf did the 3 updates no probems. She's been pretty fortunite having no problems with vista like others have had.
Ok, I updated all 3 and everything appears ok... *fingers crossed*

I started having a problem when restarting the computer. It will only go so far, then it doesn't fully load. I have to power it down manually and restart it again. I did a system restore last night and will not reinstall the update until I know for sure that's the problem. I'm not sure if that was it because it happens intermittently and yesterday a Dell tech installed a new monitor on my laptop. At one point I got a message saying I needed to install the new driver for the laptop, but when I clicked on it everything froze. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
