A new, long-awaited feature is rolling out to Pogo soon that will allow you to see who's added you to their Pogo Friends List.

We are testing this feature with a selection of Free accounts first, and then over the next week or so will be rolling it out to all players on Pogo – both Free and Club.

At this time, you might want to take a quick look at your Friends List and remove anyone on there that you wouldn't want to know that you're currently following them. Maybe you are their secret admirer and you want it to stay that way, perhaps? Or perhaps you met them once and added them and now can't remember who they are. Take this opportunity to clean up your Friends List.

Lets see. I have a total of 4 people on my friends list.  I think I am okay.  Since I never speak to anyone on Pogo and have every block possible turned on I doubt anyone has added me. I am SOOOOO antisocial

I only have 3 ppl on my friends list, when i was new to pogo, i added random people for the hell of it bc i didnt have any friends on pogo lol.

I have lots of questions about this. I am curious as to if this would give us a time frame type info although Pogos info does not seem to have this. I wanna know not only that someone I do not know is following me but how long they have been doing it. I will sometimes add someone just because they are way too talkative so I know not to go into a room or can leave a room when they show up. Easier than having the xxxxx is muted over and over. I just ranked out in Payday where there were several who thought it very important to let us know what their final score was that hand. I don't want them to know that I have them on my friends list since I only put them on it to avoid them. 

And if it lets us know that 3 weeks ago or 3 years ago someone added us or only show those that added us the day this application starts cuz I need to get busy and look now to get my curiosity resolved. I also added someone with a very inappropriate screen name just because I want to see how long before Pogo removes it. But I certainly do not want them knowing I have them on my friends list.

I know that when this rolls out it will more than likely make their servers crash while we all go in and see who has us on their list. It did crack me up that it states "Also note that on your Players That Added Me list page, we give you the option to friend someone back, block them, or even send that special someone a gift!" Gift someone stalking you? I think I will gift them that bucket of worms if this happens before that one runs out. And those 2 people here that I gifted with the bucket o'worms - I apologize but I do not think you are stalkers!

There are other people on Pogo and they can be added to a "friends" list? Who knew?

This concerns me too.......... what if someone "is" stalking me just to be in the same room with me, but has me blocked..... does that mean I won't be able to see their name on my list?
right, like someone would follow me hahaha but you get my drift.
and..... if they "unblock" at random times just to see where I am and then block again...... i mean, what are the chances I would be checking the same time they are...... does that make sense?   
maybe pogo will put a tab on the page called "stalkers"

Pogo started rolling out the New Friend Notifications feature today. At the top of your home page within the "Friends Online" you will see a number in RED that shows how many new people started following you by adding you to their friends list. When you click on it, or visit your friends list,you'll see who has added you to their friends list. From there you can friend them back, block them, or do nothing.

You may not have this change yet. Pogo's rolling it out to players in stages. If you have it, you will see it when you view your friends list and look.   lol

Note: if you've "Blocked" another player, Pogo will not announce to that player that you've blocked them. That player will simply appear on your "Blocked players" list and they will not know..

Not a chance! The few real people on my friends list were the one's that urged me to join club pogo almost a decade ago. Yes, both have since passed, and I see no reason to delete them from my friends list, they both played a mean game of spades and liked my company.

The fact remains that I have no living people on my friends list now, just because I turn chat on in one room only and all know that I prefer earning badges over adding a friend. those in that one room now that I sometimes stop by just to chat. beer11.gif

Pogo has updated one of my user accounts with this..
Its only showing me people who recently added me, not people from the dial up days ;)
Its also only showing in the US not in UK.

Wish they would make a privacy setting NOT TO APPEAR when you add somebody  girls18.gif

One thing I learned is it does not matter if you talk are not the Pogo nut jobs will add you anyway.

I got that red mark yesterday , but i believe it is someone from this room, as the name is almost the same. So im not worried about it .  hi11.gif

No Squid you not a nut job(most of the time anyway)  I was in a room one night and someone using auto in BB and had it wide open. Drove them nuts all complained, reported and left the room. Seems detecting auto use drives them all out

Me either not that I expect to have any friends that aren't alternate user names since my account is private.

Just curious, is it easier to just completely block someone rather than mute them if they're the chatty type and you just want to know what stage you're at in completing a challenge and don't care about their score or their personal life that they're so comfortable blabbing about in public?  Do they show up as muted in that particular room and time only or is it always no matter what?  I typically just join rooms where I'm the only player so it's not like I automatically mute everyone but sometimes it's insane when a whole group will suddenly join the room and not shut up!

I muted someone one night and came back into the room a few weeks later and that user was still muted. So once you mute them, they stay muted no matter what.

I still do not have the new Friends feature but my free account does. It used to be my grandsons so it is listed as a teen and the mini shows a young guy. Surprise - I have a slew of predators (almost all men in their 40s - 50s) who have added him. I am going to send each a CEASE AND DESIST message as I block them. He has not been on Pogo since he found other online games 5 yrs ago. Not gonna tell him because that would creep him out.

As a general rule, I just turn chat OFF ... unless my sister is in the room with me or I know she's about to join me.  Also she knows to leave me a message (or call me) when I don't answer.  By turning chat OFF I don't have to see what they're saying, I don't chat, my profile is private and to date (knock wood)  .... I've had no problem. So I guess there are different ways one can approach this situation.

Where it says that you have eight friends online now also has a red number

on the bottom right that is to indicate someone has added you as a friend.

For example mine said I had 8 friends online and then I had a 1 in red which meant someone new added me.

Click on my friends list and it told me who had added me and I know this person added me 4 days ago so POGO is sneaky by going backwards into who added you.

I've finally joined those with those little red numbers.  Someone added me yesterday and I'm embarrassed to say I'm not sure who this person is.  I didn't add him/her, though, and my settings only allow friends to see me, etc. 

I still don't have that notification but I went and checked my friends list out of curiosity and two strangers had added me.  Doesn't say when but I'm pretty sure that my account has had the highest privacy settings possible from day one so it's just weird to me that you would add someone when you can't even see their profile.  The only adds I have are two alternative user accounts and one of them I don't even remember the password or email address I used and haven't logged in in years.  They must have added me accidentally b/c I'm far too antisocial to be interesting enough to follow.

I went to that link, Players who added you the other day & wow!! i saw a bunch of names i didnot even no. I wish pogo would let you Delete them instead of just blocking them. Its just taking space to me.   shocked.gif

Why do they not ever actually try out their new features before presenting them? Players That Added Me has not worked for over a week. So much for protecting our privacy. I get this message:

I could be wrong but I think you're getting that page because Pogo keeps signing us out of our accounts.  If you sign back in, you should get to the page you're seeking.  That's what happens with me anyway.  I'm getting just a little tired of having to sign in time and time again.  I can sign in on the Pogo homepage and try to go to my Friends' list and Pogo will sign me out!  I'm getting miffed.    swear2.gif

Pogo corrected the problem during the down time this morning. I was shocked as heck to see that I had 196 people who have added me. I know 11 of them. Quick run thru and blocked anyone with a private profile but it is going to take me quite a bit longer to go thru the 173 left. I think after I go thru them all and block them I am going to change my settings to block everyone except those who are in my friends list.

Okay I have finally finished going through almost 200 people who have added me. I even got an email from one asking to please be put back on because she enjoyed trying to beat my badge totals. Now I wonder if someone tries to add me that I blocked, do they get some sort of message at all from Pogo? Like "Hey dude, the lady is just not that in to you." or a simple one like "STALKER ALERT" or even just a generic "This member has settings that do not allow this function".

I have tried to look at the profile of some folks in WR and when they have settings that are blocked or for their friends' list only, I get a message that their info is blocked or something to that effect.  Once you put the right settings in place, you can't be seen, followed, reviewed, etc. 

If someone has other info... please add it to the thread.  tx.

I have an oddity. I have one blocked player that shows up on that link in MESSAGES or if I am gifting someone or sending out an Expression. I have cleared caches, removed his name from blocked - rebooted, added it back to blocked, cleared caches again, rebooted again and still this blocked player is showing in that drop down list in Messages or when I try to gift anyone anything be it an MnM or an Expression. Sad to say but I think I am going to have to contact EA in order to remove him from my lists.
