I read a tip for playing this challenge that I hope helps.
While playing, do not blank out the center square when that is available, ever.
It helps to stop filling in what you do not want and helps to get what you want.

I remembered one more tip.
The tip below stops you from getting diagonal bingos. Which is good for this weeks badge.
And the other tip is to ignore the far left and far right columns and concentrate on just the middle three columns. This way you stop the horizontal bingo. This keeps your eyes to focus on just a smaller area and once you get the feel of it, hopefully go faster too.
Keeps you on track to concentrate on just those 3 center columns to make a maximum of what you can on getting the vertical bingos *slingos*.
Sometimes it can get pretty busy and this takes away some of the pressure with less to keep track.
