I wonder what makes them go to that extent. It can't be grubs... they don't go that deep. It can't be making a home. Bird just must need to carve!

This video makes me think of the time in my (very) early twenties when I dated the singer of a metal band, and how badly my neck ALWAYS hurt from banging my head at his shows.

He's clearly very determined, and I hope he ended up with a lovely home and a heated neck pillow! LOL
