quick quack

Ok, here's the problem. when i try to play quick quack i can get through about a game, maybe 1 and a half and then my computer shuts down mozilla and restarts. when it comes back on it tells me that the system has recovered from a serious error this only happens when i play quick quack and not any other pogo games. i've tryed checking with a virus scanner, uninstalling and installing my java, and everything else i can think of. i have xp with mozilla and i know this isn't exactly a problem with an auto or anything but pogo's not getting back to me any time soon it looks like so i thought i'd ask you guys. anyone else have the same problem and how if you did, did you get rid of it? thanks anyone that responds

I'm no computer expert but the blue screen of death is never a good thing. If your pc is covered under warranty/maintenance you might want to seek help through the pc manufacturer.

it's not really the blue screen lol... it's more of that screen you get when you close a non-responding program and it asks if you wanna send a log to microsoft, except it's coming up on the start up after the game causes a shut down... thanks for your input though

I have the same problem sometimes but I don't know why.  Sorry I couldn't help.

Are you using Windows XP?

If so you can get online help by clicking Start then Help and Support in your Start Menu. Look for the blue circle with a question mark icon. ;)

it's ok.. it wouldn't be so bad but it happens EVERY single time i play the game. my girlfriend has the same problem sometimes but it happens much more rarely. is it maybe a bad code in the game itself or something or do i just have something wrong with my computer? thanks again for replying

Let's start by deleting your QQ game files.

Do the following:

Go to
Tools
Internet Options
General Tab
Settings
View Objects

A window will popup with your pogo files. Find the one for QQ and delete it. After deleting the file close the window and click ok to close any popups and restart your browser and go back to pogo and try again.

You have issues with quick quack, I have issues with first class.  With the help of all of homers suggestions, I have gotten every game to work for me now EXCEPT first class solitaire.  I can play that game just fine and dandy but when I win, the game freezes up on me or I get booted so I've given up for now.

hmm.. that sucks... well here's how it's going: so far quick quack is working, but i don't know if it will last... i'm also playing it on IE instead of mozilla, so it may be a possibility that quick quack is conflicting with firefox somehow but i don't know if that's the case or not. i'll see if it keeps working but normally on firefox it quits by now... so i guess maybe if you played solitaire with another browser there's a chance it would work... give it a try if you want

ok, well that was a huge failure... computer restarted 5!!!! times in a row. when i went to pick my prize it finally died and then every time i signed into my name on the computer it would start to load and then restart.. :( this suck

If your computer is shutting down and restarting on it's own you have a serious issue. That sounds like a virus/spyware problem.

It also wouldn't hurt to download the free trial of Window Washer at:

http://www.webroot.com/consumer/downloads/

i have been trying to scan but it seems to shut down or freeze about halfway or less through... i have avast antivirus and all kinds of anti spyware... i'll try that free scan though, maybe it can do it all the way through

it won't even let me finish the online scan without restarting... i'm gonna try posting on another site for some virus help. but please, if you know anything about quick quack and how to get it to work then share the info. and thanks all for your quick and helpful replies

well thanks for all your help... it was a nasty little bug and i ended up having to restore my computer to factory defaults. couldn't even log on anymore :(. at least everything works now though
