You seem to forget that McNabb played about the first 10 games with a sports hernia injury and missed approximately the last 6 games when he could play no more. His sports hernia severely hampered his ability to play and he probably shouldn't have played at all and had the surgery.

He's had the surgery and looks very good from the footage I've seen so far.

They don't upgrade a lot in free agency because they lock up their core players so they don't have to be major players in free agency.

If Drew starts to do anything that might win a game for them, they will pull him... What year was that the Saints had 3 to 5 kickers that could kick a field goal from 60 to 70 yards and did NOT use them?   If you have kickers on your team that can kick 60 and 70 yards. there is no reason to loose a game if you ask me.
