Here ya go..It's better to use a smaller square pan to bake these in, I always double the recipe if using the 13x9 size pan, otherwise the brownies are kinda thin.

Cheesecake Brownies

1 package (18-1/4 ounces) German chocolate cake mix
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup chopped nuts

TOPPING:
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, egg, butter and nuts; mix well. Press into a greased
13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan; set aside. Combine topping ingredients in another mixing
bowl and beat until smooth. Carefully spread over batter. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35
minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Store in the refrigerator.

Yield: 2 dozen.

* Just wanted to add that if you double the recipe, naturally it will take longer for em to bake cause they'll be thicker, just take em out when they start getting lightly brown on top.

This sounds so good. I think I can handle it without any major catastrophe.

Cindy I made the Cheesecake Brownies today. Only thing I did different was Hubby hates German Chololate. So I used the Swiss Chocolate Mix and put Pecans. My God they are to die for. Thanks so much. Also I just did the one box in the 13 inch pan and we found them quite thick enough since they are so rich.
Thanks so much for sharing. Hubby already asked me to make more tomorrow.(Off of work so no problem there giggle2.gif  I had to share with a special neighbor and she too loved them.  I would recommend this receipe to anyone.
Your a doll embrace.gif Thanks for the pounds we will put on now in your honor. beer11.gif

So glad you liked em!   tumbsup.gif  When I first made em for my family, they was gone in minutes.  I'm sure you can change or adjust the recipe to suit yourselves, such as using the diet/low fat ingredients or whatever whereever you can.

Just took a nice hot pan out the oven... Yummy more. The family loves them embrace.gif

Can't agree with you. My son and grandson did not like them but they don't like cheesecake either. And one pan was just right for just me.
