People do get caught, there is no doubt about that.  How often is a question Pogo could answer best.

Well, the more you use autos, the bigger the chance you will get caught. I have used autos only occasionally for about a year and haven't been caught. Other than that, its pogo's call, like Barbara said.

If you are carefull I think the odds are slim.

Most of the people that get caught run autos for hours and days on end.  Or fill the entire "high score" sheet in half an hour.  I've been running autos for some time now, and I've never even been accused.  You just have to use some caution and common sense.

ok....will be careful....ty....if u do get caught, does pogo give u the boot immediately?

Homer

I wouldn't give it a second thought. ;) Just look at my signature.  :P

They would be out a lot of money if they started banning auto users. Auto users in my opinion probably make for a very large part of their subscription base. ;)

I was thinking 70% myself. I don't know that pogo would survive something like that.  :-\

What?
You're not supposed to do that? >:D

Mayhem

I run the autos for hours at at time, overnight, and even have left them going when on vacation (Casino Island Blackjack auto for example).

No fear here.  >:D  I have 3 club accounts on 3 different names and CC#'s.

I cheat on all of them and haven't been caught yet.  :)
Nothing spoils a good story like the arrival of an eyewitness.

You guys really think 70% or 80% of pogo members are auto users? I was thinking 30% or 40% maybe.

sxybamabit

i laugh sometimes when im playin pool on pogo or yahoo and i know that people r usin a cheat and i just want to report them but i do the same thing lol :)

avs1roy33

I do the same thing. I think "HOW DARE THEY?!" before I realize I have a cheat running also lol.

Barbara

I've never played a head to head game on auto.  I am playing by myself, against Pogo.  I don't see the sport in crushing someone with an auto.  Come to think of it, I don't really enjoy playing anything against other players in a rated situation, because they may be double and triple browsing to have an unfair advantage.  One of the worst suggestions given on this site for obtaining a weekly challenge badge is to watch and enter a game, crush the unsuspecting opponent and then bolt out of the room.  If ever I have to stoop that low to get a badge I would rather not have the badge.

That 80% number sounds a little high to me.  I would think that it would be less than that, maybe around 40% and that might even be a little high.  It just doesn't seem like that many people would be cheating.  Of course I could be naive.

I think that the 80% sounds good because I have sent friends here when they need help and they have got hooked but I told them to be careful.  I am also new so I never know which post to say anything on.  ;)
